An in-editor chat panel that drives your local claude CLI on your Max subscription — and any Anthropic-compatible model — with sessions, attachments, @-mentions and live background tasks.
CC Cadence puts a chat panel in your editor and drives the local claude CLI — so the
built-in profile runs on your own /login Claude Max subscription, with no API key involved.
Add more profiles that point at any Anthropic-compatible endpoint and every model gets the
same tools: reading and writing files, running commands, subagents.
Features
- Many profiles, one panel. Switch provider, model (Default / Opus / Sonnet / Haiku / Fable) and effort level from a single pill in the composer. Same vendor resumes the session.
- Session history. Conversations are stored by the CLI itself — search, resume or delete them from the history drop-down.
- Attachments. Paste a screenshot, drag files onto the composer, or pick them from disk. Images go to the model directly; other files are staged and passed as paths.
- @-mentions. Type
@to fuzzy-search files and folders in the workspace. - Background tasks. Background subagents and shells show up as live task cards, and the conversation wakes itself back up when they finish.
- Interrupt-and-replace. Send while the model is still running and your latest message wins.
- Editor tabs. Open CC Cadence as a full editor tab beside your files, as many as you like.
- Extra Claude Code parameters. Inject environment variables and settings keys
(
effortLevel, context window, timeouts) without touching your global config. - Doctor. One command that explains why a model switch didn’t take effect.

Privacy
The extension never reads, stores or forwards your Claude tokens. Third-party API keys live in your OS keychain, never in settings files.
CC Cadence opens in
bypassPermissionsmode, so tools never ask before running. Only use it in workspaces you trust.
